Local church gives away free gas cards on Good Friday

MATTHEWS, NC — Dozens of drivers lined up Friday for a free gas card at New Beginnings Church in Matthews.

To celebrate Good Friday, the church gave away 150 $25 gas cards and held a drawing for five $100 cards.

It's the seventh year New Beginnings has held its "Fuel For The Soul Plus" event.
