CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local teen’s service project is making a big difference for kids with disabilities.
Michael Buck just completed his Eagle Scout project, where he rebuilt the entire playground at Shining Hope Farms in Charlotte.
“I have a lot of trust in this organization, and I’m honored to have built this for them,” said Buck.
It took Buck more than a year to complete the project.

The farm provides therapeutic service for individuals with disabilities.
“I mean, this took over a year, so any sort of commitment to any sort of project to help with the community is very beneficial for anyone around,” said Buck.
He raised more than $1,000, and Lowe’s helped with donated materials. Any money left over, Buck donated to the farm.
