GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Officials said the man accused of driving into a Bessemer City restaurant, killing two of his family members, was indicted on two counts of murder.
Police said Roger Self intentionally rammed into the Surf and Turf Lodge May 20. His daughter, Katelyn Self, and daughter-in-law, Amanda Self, died.
The family’s pastor has said Self is dealing with mental illness.
In addition to the two women killed in the crash, four other family members were injured.

Self was indicted Monday on the murder charges Monday. His next court date has not been scheduled.
