CHARLOTTE — A man was arrested and charged with arson in connection with an east Charlotte apartment fire Thursday morning.
According to court records, Matthew Scheiman is accused of setting the fire along Terrybrook Lane on purpose.

The documents say a woman was inside during the fire. MEDIC said one person was treated for serious injuries.
Scheiman is expected to face a judge Friday morning.
