LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — A 33-year-old man was killed after being struck by a vehicle on NC 73 in Lincoln County Wednesday, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the crash happened near Cowans Ford Road when a 2017 Ford F-150 traveling west on NC 73 collided with a pedestrian walking east along the road.

The pedestrian, Jamie Cash, 33, of Huntersville, died at the scene.
The driver, Aspen Beckett, 19, of Mooresville, was not injured.
The Highway Patrol said neither speed nor impairment was a contributing factor in the crash.
No charges have been filed.
