CHARLOTTE — A second driver has been arrested in connection with a fatal July 25 crash on I-85 that killed 17-year-old Alex Rodriguez, according to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol.
Investigators said four vehicles were involved in the collision and that two of the drivers were street racing in Charlotte.

The driver of a Mercedes-Benz, Estrella Gutierrez-Perez, was arrested Sunday evening in Burlington and taken to the Alamance County Jail, where she is being held without bond.
She faces charges of second-degree murder and spontaneous speed competition resulting in death.
The other driver, Julia Henderson, was arrested Friday in Guilford County and transferred to the Mecklenburg County Jail, where she is also being held without bond on the same charges.
According to arrest warrants, Henderson was driving an Audi S5 and racing the Mercedes-Benz on I-85 at the time of the crash.
Henderson was reportedly speeding at more than 132 miles per hour, according to documents obtained by Channel 9.
Highway Patrol said the investigation remains ongoing.
