Man killed in motorcycle crash in Iredell County, troopers say

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — A man has died following a motorcycle crash in Iredell County, according to North Carolina State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred on Friday at approximately 3:30 p.m.

Troopers said A 2004 Honda motorcycle was traveling east on Amity Hill Road near Tucker Road when it drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

The driver, 52-year-old Tony Jason Hedrick, was ejected from the motorcycle. He was transported to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center where he later died, according to troopers.

Troopers said an initial investigation indicates impairment may have been a contributing factor in the collision.
