CHARLOTTE — A man has pleaded guilty to stabbing his partner to death in what police believe was an act of domestic violence.
On Tuesday, Victor Agudelo-Monsalve accepted a plea deal to the lesser charge of second-degree murder.

Prosecutors said Agudelo-Monsalve fatally stabbed 19-year-old Yamile Alejandra Giraldo Gomez in southwest Charlotte in December 2023.
The incident occurred months after Gomez moved to the United States.
Agudelo-Monsalve was sentenced to 25 years in prison.
