STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police have arrested a man they said shot someone during a robbery Monday afternoon on Brevard Street in Statesville.

Officers responded to the shooting call around 5 p.m. at the home on Brevard Street and when they arrived, found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. They were transported to Baptist Hospital with serious injuries.

The victim told officers that two men he knew, Jiceri Tucker, 20, and Tykeydris Norris, 18, tried to rob him. A struggle ensued and that's when the victim was shot.

"I was in the kitchen,” neighbor Rosemary McNeely said. “I heard shots about three times. I come out, see what's going on. That’s all I know. I don’t know what went down."

Police said they arrested Norris overnight in Troutman but have yet to find Tucker. Norris is being held under a $400,000 bond in the Iredell County Jail.

(Tucker, Norris)

Anyone with information regarding this case, or the whereabouts of Tucker is asked to contact Statesville Police at 704-878-3406, or Iredell Crime-Stoppers at 704-662-1340.
