BELMONT, N.C. — The Belmont Police Department is investigating another attempted robbery at a bank.
Police said a man in a fake mustache and goatee walked up to the New Horizon Bank on Wilkinson Boulevard Tuesday afternoon and handed a note to an employee outside the entrance.
The note said “robbery,” and employees went inside the bank and locked the doors.
Police released a picture of the suspect who they said left in an older model dark blue Honda CRV.
No weapon was used, and no one was hurt.
Police are asking anyone with information to call them at 704-829-4082.
The same bank was robbed earlier this month by a different suspect the FBI dubbed the “Bad Wig Bandit,” who has targeted several banks in Gaston County.
