CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have arrested and charged a woman in a shooting in University City last week.
Police charged Candy Jenkins with attempted murder charges after she allegedly shot a man at an apartment complex on Interface Lane off Mallard Creek Road.
There is no word on a motive.
We first updated WSOCTV news app users with a notification just after 5 a.m. last Monday about the active search for the gunman.
Officers were called around 4:30 a.m. to the scene on Interface Lane, just off Mallard Creek Road near W.T. Harris Boulevard, and found a man who had been shot several times.

Paramedics told Channel 9 they took the patient to the hospital with serious injuries.
Police have not said who was shot or if they made any arrests.
Channel 9 crews saw police interviewing a woman behind the crime tape but no other details have been released.
