CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation in the Steele Creek Division.
Officers responded to the 16000 block of Simril Court shortly before 5:30 p.m.
When they arrived, officers located a victim who had sustained a gunshot wound.
MEDIC transported the victim to a local hospital, where they were pronounced deceased.
CMPD says they are not looking for any additional involved parties at this time.
