Missing Tennessee girl found 670 miles away in North Carolina home

ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina man was charged with child abduction when deputies said they found a missing west Tennessee girl living with him at his home.

Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said they arrested Dakota Vettor, 27, when they found the victim Tuesday.

The girl was reported missing Saturday and found 670 miles away from her Memphis home in Stoneville, which is about 110 miles northwest from downtown Raleigh.

Vettor is being held without bond.
