MONROE, N.C. — Two Monroe police officers are recovering in the hospital after a crash on Highway 74 Friday morning.
According to a release from the city of Monroe, both officers were responding to cardiac arrest call when they got into a multi-vehicle crash near Stafford Street.

One officer has a concussion, and the other had to get stitches for a cut to the head. Thankfully, both officers are expected to recover.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Monroe Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
The identities of the officers have not been made available.
