North Carolina U.S. Senate candidate Michael Whatley is taking the stage Wednesday at the Republican midterm convention in Dallas.
The two-day convention is being held at the American Airlines Center and marks the Republican Party’s first midterm convention.
Whatley is among the candidates speaking at the event as Republicans prepare for the 2026 midterm elections.

Whatley is running against Democrat Roy Cooper in the North Carolina Senate race.
A spokesperson for Cooper responded to Whatley’s appearance, saying, “Michael Whatley is spending time with the people he’s spent his career delivering for – his fellow DC insiders.”
Other North Carolina speakers at the convention include Congressman Richard Hudson and congressional candidate Laurie Buckholt.
