Nearly 300 workers to lose jobs as McAdenville plant closes in December

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Close to 300 people are going to lose their jobs in McAdenville, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Mannington Mills is shutting down its flooring manufacturing plant on Dec. 27.

The closure is part of Mannington’s move to stop making carpet.

The company took over the site from Pharr in 2020, according to the Observer.
