NORTH CAROLINA — Several new laws took effect in North Carolina Monday.
Employees and volunteers at private schools can have guns on school grounds, but they must have written permission from the Board of Trustees, have a concealed handgun permit and completed a training course.

Another law cracks down on drivers going too slow in the left lane.
There’s minimum speeds they must follow or get ticketed.
