LENOIR, N.C. — An investigation began at midnight Monday because of threatening messages on social media to the Caldwell County Schools, primarily Hudson Middle School.
Federal authorities said the threats were made by a minor living in Texas.
There is no credible threat against the school district, authorities said.

More law enforcement could be at the school Tuesday.
