CHARLOTTE — Several Charlotte-area nursing homes rank five stars in federal ratings.
The federal government looks at health and fire safety inspections, staffing, complaints and controlling infections.

Here are some of the five-star facilities: Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, The Greens at Cabarrus in Concord, White Oak in Waxhaw and the Rock Hill Post Acute Care Center.
