CHARLOTTE — The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a homicide on Montford Drive in South Charlotte near Park Road.
On Saturday, shortly after 1 a.m., officers responded to an assault with a deadly weapon. Paramedics found someone with a gunshot wound and took them to a hospital, where that person was later declared deceased.
Their identity was not immediately made public.
CMPD says they have identified all parties believed to be involved and are not currently looking for any additional suspects.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
