One person rushed to hospital after shooting in Uptown

CHARLOTTE — Uptown Charlotte became the scene of a life-threatening shooting Friday morning.

The shooting happened around 2 a.m. on East 6th Street and College Street, right around the corner from the Spectrum Center.

MEDIC says one person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Channel 9 has reached out to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department to learn if a suspect is in custody.
