CHARLOTTE — The Carolina Panthers are hosting a free pep rally Saturday at The Bowl at Ballantyne in Charlotte ahead of the team’s Sunday home opener against the Chicago Bears.
The rally runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 15119 Bowl Street. Admission is free, but tickets must be claimed online through Ticketmaster.com.
Rally activities include game day-style introductions, face painters, and balloon artists. Attendees can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win autographed merchandise and tickets to the home opener.
Panthers mascot Sir Purr and former Panthers players are scheduled to make appearances during the event.

The Panthers will open their home schedule against the Bears on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Bank of America Stadium.
