HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — Huntersville police say officers arrested one person after a disturbance sent crowds running at Birkdale Village Saturday evening.
A lot of people were talking about the incident online, saying shots were fired.
Police confirmed no gunfire, but some frantic moments during the evening.

At Birkdale Village some restaurants and bars were still open but an hour and a half ago, it was panic and chaos.
In a video sent to us by a viewer, you can see it was just mass panic. Dozens of customers and employees were running away.
The police confirmed that there was some kind of altercation and that they did find a gun, but there is no indication that it had been fired.
Police also say they made an arrest.
While this didn’t turn out to be a huge deal, it provided some very scary moments for a lot of people.
“I was immediately scared,” said Riley Warren, a witness. “We ran inside, they shut the doors in Bar Taco, all the open spaces. Everyone inside was shaking and very nervous.”
“Like 40 people ran in the doors all at once,” said another witness, Elaina Moczulski. “No one really knew what was happening.”
We are waiting to hear some more details from police about what sparked this situation, the name of the person who has been arrested, and what they have been charged with.
