CHARLOTTE — A Rocky River High School student was hurt after being hit by a car in east Charlotte Thursday morning, according to MEDIC.
The incident occurred just before 6:30 a.m. on Aventide Lane near Camp Stewart Road.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools said a 12th-grade student was struck by a vehicle while going to a bus stop.

The girl’s father said she is in the hospital and is expected to be OK.
A neighbor’s doorbell camera caught Arquimides Saravia begging for help moments after he found his daughter lying in the street.
“We heard a crash out there and my wife told me that was weird, so we went outside, and we saw our daughter laying down and we rushed toward her,” Saravia told Channel 9.
Saravia’s doorbell footage shows his 18-year-old daughter, Raquel Espinosa, leaving their home around 6:15 a.m.
CMS said the car hit the teen while she walked to her bus stop.
“Right here. She was lying down. Right here,” Saravia said. “Here is where we pick her up. This is the hair she lost after the impact.”
Neighbor Morris Graham called 911.
“I saw her windshield busted in,” said Graham. “Some of Antonio’s daughters’ hair was on the windshield, stuck to the windshield, busted in probably three to four places. The fender was beat up real bad. And it looks like the impact was so horrific, but I’m surprised his daughter actually made it through that.”
Saravia said he is counting his blessings that his daughter lived.
“It’s a miracle,” he said. “God gave us a chance to have our daughter alive.”
There is no word on if any charges will be filed against the driver.
It is unclear what led up to this accident.
