HICKORY, N.C. — A Germany-based pharmaceutical company is moving forward with plans for a manufacturing facility in Hickory.
ITM Isotopen Technologien Muenchen AG bought an 8.9-acre site in Hickory’s Trivium Corporate Center for $352,334, according to Catawba County documents. ITM has planned a $17 million investment to build the facility, which is expected to employ 137 workers at an average wage of around $65,000, said Scott Millar, president of the Catawba County Economic Development Corp.
Millar said Catawba County’s average wage is around $43,000.
