CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A 76-year-old Charlotte woman was found safe in Gaston County by police after she was reported missing Wednesday.
Officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said Tin Thi Nguyen was last seen at her home at 10530 Wilson Glen Drive.
Nguyen has some memory problems and suffers from Parkinson’s disease, officials said.

Nguyen was tracked to Gastonia, where a cab dropped her off at a Shell gas station at 1651 Bessemer City Road around 10:30 a.m., police said.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers said they received a tip that Nguyen crossed the street from the gas station to the woods.

A K-9 unit and chopper searched the area, and police also used thermal imaging to look for Nguyen. Officials confirmed around 7 p.m. that she had been found safe.
Officials said a bloodhound from the York County Sheriff's Office was able to track her location, eight hours after she was last seen.
A Channel 9 crew was at the scene as Nguyen was loaded into an ambulance and taken to a hospital to be evaluated.
Authorities said the search for Nguyen was a team effort involving several agencies, including CMPD, Gaston County police and the York County Sheriff's Office.
Officials said Nguyen is expected to be OK and is being reunited with her family.
