GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — Police in Gaston County captured a man on Thursday wanted for crimes in Nebraska.
They assisted Bessemer City Police Department and the United States Marshals Service in capturing Akhenaten Alison.

Alison also faces charges in Gaston County for resisting arrest and three counts of assault on a government official related to his arrest.
Police said Alison was wanted for robbery, use of a firearm to commit a felony, burglary and domestic assault out of Nebraska.
Officials said a tip from the community led police to an apartment complex in Bessemer City where Alison was taken into custody.
