CHESTER COUNTY, S.C. — The Chester County Sheriff’s Office said there is no active threat to Chester High School after investigating a message circulated on social media.

Deputies received reports of the message Tuesday, Aug. 25, and investigators quickly began working to determine where it came from.
With help from federal law enforcement partners, investigators identified a minor who sent the message.
The sheriff’s office says it is working with the Chester County School District to determine appropriate next steps.
Officials said there are currently no criminal charges against the minor related to the incident.
