15-year-old girl hit by bullet after shots fired into north Charlotte home

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after shots were fired into a house Monday morning in north Charlotte, hitting a teenager inside.

The shooting happened just after 3 a.m. along Holland Avenue.

Police said someone fired a gun into the house and a bullet struck a 15-year-old girl inside. MEDIC took her to the hospital with serious injuries, but she has not been identified.

Authorities have not said what led up to the shooting and if they have any suspects in custody.
