PINEVILLE, N.C. — Plans to bring a popular chicken finger restaurant to Pineville may have hit a snag.
The Charlotte Observer reported that a demolition permit tied to a future Raising Cane’s location was withdrawn.
The newspaper reviewed county records showing Raising Cane’s planned to demolish the former Buca di Beppo restaurant along Carolina Place Parkway.

It is unclear why the permit was withdrawn. Other permits for the site are still pending.
Raising Cane’s currently has a location in Rock Hill. There are also plans for additional locations in Pineville, Concord, and Gastonia.
