CHARLOTTE — North Graham Street is shut down in both directions between Woodward Avenue and Moretz Avenue after a natural gas line cut.
It happened on Saturday around 3 p.m. and is still ongoing.
The Charlotte Fire Department sent out a neighborhood advisory in a tweet saying there could be a smell of gas in the area but that there was not an immediate threat to the community.
A Char-Meck Alert said the the gas leak should be resolved around midnight, but the smell could linger.
Drivers are asked to find an alternate route around the area.
