ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill police bumped up pay for officers.

Starting annual salary is now about $61,000 for 84 hour pay periods, the department said.
York County sheriff’s deputies make just over $53,000.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department pays between $58,000 and $64,000.
