SUNSET BEACH, N.C. — A body discovered Friday in a golf course pond in Sunset Beach is believed to be of a missing Alexander County man.

A Silver Alert was issued for Paul Milton Simms, 23, on Jan. 9.
There is no evidence of foul play, and the investigation is ongoing.
The body was sent for an autopsy and positive identification.
