GASTONIA, N.C. — The city of Gastonia is working to repair a large sinkhole that nearly swallowed a pick-up truck.
The truck was almost completely submerged in water.
It happened near Brown Street and West Airline Avenue just before noon Saturday.

The city says no one was in the truck at the time.
It has been removed, but crews are still trying to figure out what caused the sinkhole.
