CHESTER, S.C. — Three Chester police officers, including Chief Eric Williams, were cleared in a SLED investigation into financial irregularities in the police department.
SLED said there was not enough evidence to file charges, officials announced Tuesday.
A preliminary inquiry into the finances at the Chester Police Department was launched in January.
