FORT MILL, S.C. — The race for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina is heating up between Annie Andrews and Senator Darline Graham.

Dozens packed Fort Mill’s coffee shop Friday to hear Democrat Annie Andrews. She said support like this is evidence she ‘can win.’

“I’m not surprised about the polling numbers because it reflects the energy and momentum we feel everywhere we go across the state,” Senator Darline Graham said.

Graham’s support is also strong. The newcomer took down veteran Congressman Ralph Norman in a runoff election to secure the nomination.

Thursday night, President Donald Trump, who encouraged Graham to run, held a tele-rally for her online.

The “Insider Advantage” poll, taken Sep. 28 and 29, surveyed 12,000 likely voters and showed Andrews with 45% of the votes and Republican Senator Darline Graham with 46%. The margin of error is plus or minus 2.8%.

Early voting in South Carolina starts Oct. 19.
