CHARLOTTE — A local brewery is shutting down its Plaza Midwood location, according to the Charlotte Observer.
Southern Strain posted on social media that it’s permanently closing The Taproom on Central Avenue.

After five years at that location, the brewery’s lease is coming to an end on Saturday.
The original Southern Strain in Concord, however, will remain open.
