Stakeout leads to drug bust in Statesville, sheriff says

STATESVILLE, N.C. — Authorities made two arrests Tuesday in a drug sting at a home at 2032 Gagner St. in Statesville, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said.

Narcotics agents staked out the home after citizens reported suspicious activity.

Eric Scott Summers, 43, sold an undercover agent crack during the investigation, the sheriff said.

The investigation led authorities to Shyheim Khalil Summers, 19, who was at another location. He was also arrested for allegedly selling drugs.

Authorities seized $2,500 worth of crack, $265 worth of pot, ecstasy pills valued at $200, a .32 caliber revolver and $1,281 in cash.

Eric Scott Summers was charged with felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine, felony possession with intent to sell or deliver ecstasy. felony maintaining a dwelling to sell controlled substances and felony possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He was issued a $100,000 secured bond.

Shyheim Khali Summers was charged with felony possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana.

He was issued a $5,000 secured bond.
