CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Synergy Steel plans to bring 139 jobs to the Lancaster area as it moves into an existing building there at a cost of $2.8 million.
The startup, which will open in a 32,000-square-foot building at 1312 Camp Creek Road, northeast of Lancaster and about 60 miles southwest of Charlotte, makes steel studs and trusses as well as assembles framing and wall panels for residential and commercial construction.
Al Iagnemma, COO of Synergy, says steel construction has benefits over wood for home and commercial construction.
“Combining light gauge steel manufacturing with the newest framing and panelization techniques provides our clients competitive advantages in the marketplaces in which they serve,” he says.
Iagnemma also promises to “give back to the community” after opening in Lancaster County.
