CHARLOTTE — North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein will be in Charlotte on Monday and plans to visit the Hope Haven, a substance abuse rehabilitation center on North Tryon Street.

Stein’s staffers said he will highlight how funds from recent opioid lawsuit settlements support people in recovery and prevent more deadly overdoses.
The health department says overdose deaths in North Carolina dropped more than a third from 2023 to 2024.
