Channel 9 learned that two suspects were identified in connection with the shooting: 29-year-old Cory Armstrong and 26-year-old Camryn Moore.
According to the Gaston County Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service worked with authorities to track Moore and Armstrong through multiple states. The Ohio State Highway Patrol then found their vehicle outside of Athens, Ohio, and a trooper tried to pull them over.
Police say the pair then led a chase through multiple counties in Ohio. They then crashed their car while trying to avoid spike strips.
Police say that after the crash, officers reported hearing two gunshots, and both of the suspects were found dead. It’s not clear who pulled the trigger at this time.
Two of the victims in the quadruple shooting were identified. Police said Victoria Heather Moore, 50, and Megan Josiah Moore, 38, were killed.
Police haven’t said what led to the shooting, and we’re working to learn more about how Moore and Armstrong were involved.
Police said Armstrong and Moore both lived at the home where the shooting occurred. Both of them were facing charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder before they were found dead.
