Team behind Charlotte Beer Garden to open cocktail bar in South End

Cocktail bar Canopy Cocktails & Garden will focus on classic cocktails when it opens in South End.

CHARLOTTE — Canopy Cocktails & Garden will debut at Dilworth Artisan Station in South End in the next month.

That classic cocktail bar is the newest concept for Raleigh-based Hiberian Hospitality Group — the team behind Charlotte Beer Garden in South End.

Plans call for lounge seating and a candle-lit atmosphere, with space for private events, Hanley says. The patio will be heavily landscaped with lounge seating and an outdoor bar. It opens onto the Rail Trail.

“Charlotte’s just a great town. We just thought this might be a good fit,” says Niall Hanley, owner.

Classic and craft cocktails will be the focus.
