The Canes are fresh off their second Stanley Cup win in franchise history, and the team opened the 2026-2027 season this week against the Florida Panthers.
The Hurricanes and Cox Media Group said that the move aims to make games more accessible to fans across the Charlotte region.
Mike Sundheim, the Vice President of Communications with the Carolina Hurricanes, said: “We are grateful to Cox Media Group for giving us the opportunity to reach fans over-the-air in our state’s biggest city. There is nothing like the excitement of Saturday night Hurricanes hockey at Lenovo Center, and we’re thrilled to bring that energy into the living rooms of fans in the Queen City.”
