Two arrested after being tied to dog-fighting operation

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Chesterfield County deputies charged two people they said are tied to a dog-fighting operation.

Investigators said they rescued nine dogs from a home on Nelson Road earlier this week.

According to a release, the dogs were underweight, hurt and scarred.

Deveko Kennedy and Dianna Bowler are charged with felony ill treatment of animals, and animal fighting.
