UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Union County has approved funding for a new school resource officer.
Last year, parents were pushing for SROs in every school.

At the time, some were split between multiple schools.
The budget also calls for stipends for Union County teachers and a 7.25% water rate increase to help pay for master plan projects.
