Unruly passengers disrupt ‘friendly skies’ over mask requirements

CHARLOTTE — Unruly passengers have been more of a problem during the pandemic, flight attendants have said.

Many passengers get upset over mask requirements. There have been more than 1,000 incidents this year, including hundreds involving masks, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

“It’s real frustrating because the stewards, you know, ask a couple of times before we take off, ‘Can everybody keep their mask on?’ And it’s always one or two people that make it difficult for everybody,” passenger Jaquarius French told Channel 9.
