Nat Henry is buried at Burningtown Baptist Church Cemetery in Macon County.
The vandals used a tool to scratch through a special message of love on the headstone and punctured a picture of her face.
When his widow, Becky Henry, visited the grave last week, she realized his headstone had been vandalized.

“Somebody deliberately did this with either a screwdriver and a hammer or a chisel. I can't imagine somebody coming to a cemetery on purpose with that much hate to stand here and chisel away at a picture," she said.
