SHELBY, N.C. — A Vietnam Navy veteran from Shelby won $100,000 in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.
Benjamin Estioko Jr. bought a $3 ticket at the Cleveland Food Mart on Warren Street in Shelby.

It wasn’t until Thursday that he found out he won the major chunk of cash.
After state and federal tax withholdings were taken out, Estioko claimed more than $70,500.
