SHELBY, N.C. — The woman involved in an alleged case of police abuse is back in jail.

Court documents say officers arrested Cherrie Moore after she failed to appear in court in connection with the controversial arrest in May.
That’s when doorbell video went viral showing a Shelby police officer punching Moore. The department fired Karson Hyder, and prosecutors later charged him with assault.
