CHARLOTTE — Brazilian aluminum manufacturer Wyda Packaging is considering expanding its North Charlotte operations, a move that could bring about 40 new jobs to the area.

The company currently makes 17 products at its facility on Woodpark Boulevard and is considering adding new products to its manufacturing operation.
To make that possible, Wyda Packaging would need additional space, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
The company is currently in negotiations and has not finalized the expansion plans or location details.
Wyda Packaging expects to have more specifics on the potential project by late September.
